California Cool Reveal, Part 1: Entry Area + Home Office

The time has come for us to reveal our California Cool Project- starting with the Entry Area and Home Office. We had the privilege of renovating and furnishing the whole home while our clients were living out of state. All client communication was handled virtually and we couldn't be happier with how this project turned out. The aesthetic we were going for was a relaxed, indoor/outdoor vibe, hence the project name California Cool. Scroll through to see this final results, from the hard finishes, all the way down to furniture + accessories.

Right of the bat, I love a good entry moment- a mirror is a great way to help achieve this. It offers a way to check yourself one last time before heading out the door. Another way to create a designated entry area is to incorporate a bench or console table. This usually comes down to functionality and which our clients prefer. Here we created a beautiful vignette to tie in with the mirror. We changed out all the lighting throughout the home and incorporated several woven pendants to bring in a textural component. The rug is a one-of-a-kind Etsy find.

We wanted to bring in some color to the entry area, so we decided to paint the front door a light blue! The color is called Boothbay Gray by Benjamin Moore, and it is the most perfect shade of blue.

I absolutely love that you can see the reflection of the office chandelier in the mirror. It's a beauty!

Speaking of office, it is the time for creating beautiful, functional home offices; now more than ever! Complete with calm gray cabinetry and trim, a custom roman shade, linen pinboards, and our LDCO accessories, this office offers a great space to get productive! You can find the chandelier here.

We love any chance to style some shelves! All of our accessories are carefully selected for our projects. Here are a few pictures of our favorites:

Linen-covered pinboards are a great way to showcase creativity in a neat and stylish way. They can be utilized in so many different ways! We incorporated a set of them in this office.
