5 FRIDAY FAVORITES

I am finally starting a blog! I never ever thought I would have my own blog, but now that I have the opportunity to, I am super excited about it! Just a little background on me, I'm Laura of Laura Design & Co. I love all things design, get to have my dream job, and am passionate about helping others live beautifully and truly love their homes! Not sure if you can tell, but I tend to have a light and bright aesthetic. I am from California, so a lot of my inspiration comes from the west coast.

I have decided to showcase some of my favorite things through my blog, whether it be design elements for the home, tips and tricks, or just whatever is on my mind. So with that being said...

1. It has been a very busy week for me. I am in the middle of three major projects right now, with two of them being complete home renovations, so I have been going to stone warehouses and finalizing the selections for specifically kitchen renovations. I have to say, this is one of my favorite parts of the design process...starting from the beginning and envisioning the end result. It's been fun!

On another note, my favorite candle right now is this bourbon malt & vanilla candle. This candle is from world market, is perfect for fall, and smells amazing. I don't like really overpowering candles but this one is very subtle, and mild...perfect for a cold, rainy day. I love to light candles whenever I am home, but especially in the evenings after the kids are in bed when Josh and I can come downstairs to unwind and watch a good movie.

2. I see so many massive bathtubs typically covered in dust and encased with old, outdated tile, so I get really happy when I see these stand-alone tubs. For any remodel, these are a must for the master bathroom. Tip: add some natural wood textures to warm up a room with a lot of white.

3. I recently bought these tassel earrings from Nordstrom and am loving them right now! I got them in cream and think they are just so pretty and make it very easy to dress up a cute dress or simple top. Speaking of tops, this top is a fun one! I pair it with jeans and ankle boots for a comfy going out look.

Here I am wearing this at a photo shoot where I was learning the photography aspect of design: (I'd much rather not be in front of the camera.)

4. This is my absolute favorite fall throw right now from pottery barn. I am really drawn to the plaid pattern and tassel details on it. It just says fall to me.

5. When they say, "It's all in the details," they really aren't kidding, especially when it comes to styling shelves in a project. I adore how this massive bookshelf from Restoration Hardware turned out in one of my latest projects.

That's it for now. Have a great weekend!

Live Beautifully,
